OPEN WORK PERMITS
Open Work Permits are as the name says it open for you to work with any employer, there are restrictions such as working in health and education. These permits are the following:
A Work and Holiday Work Permit which is a permit under the Internationa Experience Canada Program, this is one of the categories under the program and is meant to allow participants to be able to work and travel for a period of 6 months up to 1 year depending on your country of origin. Not everyone may apply, this is a program only for some countries, so you might want to read in detail about it. This program opens once per year.
An Open Work Permit for Spouses or Common-law partners of full-time students or workers in Canada
A Post-Graduate Work Permit is the work permit that you are eligible for when you finish your post-secondary program, there are a lot of questions about it. Am I getting 3 years of work permit? Spouses or Common-law partners: If you are coming to Canada with a study or work permit, your spouse or common-law partner can come with you to Canada. They could apply for an open work permit. This will allow them to work full-time while you complete your studies or working period. In many cases, your spouse or common-law may be able to apply for Permanent Residence sooner than the one who is studying, for example.
