Saskatchewan is a Canadian province located at the center of the country, that borders with the United States to the south. Grassland covers its southern plains, and to the north are the rugged rock of the Canadian Shield plateau, coniferous forests, rivers and lakes. The population of Saskatchewan is about 1,171,240 inhabitants. Saskatchwan is 2,901.8 km far from Toronto ON. Central Standard Time (CST) is Saskatchewan's time zone. The time difference from Saskatchewan to Toronto is 2 hours.

THE OCCUPATION IN-DEMAND AND EXPRESS ENTRY OCCUPATION CATEGORY 

We are focusing on this category since it's a great opportunity for foreign nationals to apply directly for Permanent Residence without the need of a Job Offer if your Occupation is In-Demand in the province of Saskatchewan.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY

These category is meant for candidates with education and work experience in a high skilled in demand occupation. There are Occupations that may not apply under this category, this is the exception list and if you see your occupation in here you do not qualify:

Now, if your occupation is not excluded you are almost there! let’s check what you need to know. The following are the REQUIREMENTS you need to meet in order to apply. Keep in mind Saskatchwean has a POINT GRID ASSESSMENT you need at least 60 points in order to qualify, these are the factors taken into consideration:

  1. EDUCATION

  2. LANGUAGE (for this specific category a CLB of 7 is a must)

  3. AGE (if you are over 50 you do not qualify)

  4. WORK EXPERIENCE (they will consider the last 10 years of experience)

HERE IS AN EXPLANATION OF THE REQUIREMENTS NEEDED FOR THIS CATEGORY:

Your position should be in the following category of the National Occupation Classification (2011):

  • NOC "A" (occupations that usually require university education);

  • NOC "B" (occupations that usually require college education or apprenticeship training); or

  • NOC "0" (management).

 If you are meant for all applicants no matter which occupation you may fit into. In order to be eligible under the Occupations In-Demand Express Entry sub-category, applicants must:

 EXPRESS ENTRY POOL:

You must be accepted in the Pool and have a Validation Code

 LANGUAGE:

Minimum language score of 7 according to the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB). This would be a 6.0 for each band in your IELTS General minimum.

EDUCATION:

Have completed at least one year of post-secondary education or training comparable to the Canadian education system; The program of study must have resulted in a degree, diploma, certificate, or a certificate equivalent to a trade certificate.

For degrees and diplomas obtained outside of Canada, you must have an educational credential assessment (ECA)

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Have at least one of the following in your field of education or training occupation:

  • One year work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled profession (non-trades);

  • Two years work experience in a skilled trade in the past five years; or

  • Twelve months work experience in Canada in the past three years (trades and non-trades).

Have work experience in a high skilled occupation in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) Matrix level "A", "B" or "0".

You may be required to provide proof of Professional Status or Licensure (for regulated occupations or those with professional certification standards in Canada and/or Saskatchewan) for your occupation

SETTLEMENT FUNDS:

The minimum amount required for your application is based on the size of your family, as listed in the table below
