IRCC CONDUCTED EXPRESS ENTRY DRAW #349 FOR HEALTHCARE AND SOCIAL SERVICES OCCUPATIONS

On June 4, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted its second targeted Express Entry draw of the year for candidates working in healthcare and social services occupations—a move that continues Canada’s commitment to sector-specific immigration aligned with labour market needs.

In Round #349, the IRCC issued 500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) with a cut-off score of 504 CRS points, marking a 6-point decrease compared to the last targeted draw for the same sector.

The tie-breaking rule was applied to candidates who submitted their profiles before March 31, 2025, at 06:47:23 UTC.

As of June 1, 2025, there were 255,030 active profiles in the Express Entry pool. This latest round brings the total number of ITAs issued this year to 35,217 across 19 draws, reflecting Canada's continued efforts to attract qualified professionals to fill urgent labour shortages in priority fields such as:

  • Nursing and healthcare assistance

  • Social work and community services

  • Mental health support

  • Home care and long-term care services

This targeted approach aims to streamline immigration for highly needed professionals, supporting both Canada’s aging population and expanding healthcare infrastructure.
