Unlike Manitoba's larger, broader selection rounds, Draw #277 was narrowly targeted: every invitation went to candidates who had already been directly invited by the MPNP through a strategic recruitment initiative, rather than selected by ranking score. No occupation-specific list or minimum ranking score was published for this round, since eligibility depended on the candidate's prior invitation rather than where they placed in the EOI pool.

Of the 53 LAAs issued, 6 went to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code — meaning those candidates' provincial nominations, once confirmed, will add 600 points to their federal Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and effectively guarantee an Express Entry invitation in a subsequent federal round.

This was the 16th MPNP selection round of 2026. So far this year, the MPNP has invited 4,875 candidates in total, with 1,477 of those receiving invitations through the Express Entry system specifically.
