IRCC has officially closed the 2025 International Experience Canada (IEC) season, marking the end of a year characterized by strong participation from young professionals and travelers seeking work and cultural experience in Canada. The IEC program continues to serve as a gateway to Canadian work experience, which can later support permanent residency through Express Entry or Provincial Nominee Programs.

Details of the Final Draw

Between October 10 and October 27, IRCC issued:

  • 2,946 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for IEC open work permits

As of October 27:

  • 40,086 candidates remained registered in the pools, awaiting invitations

This season included:

  • 102,289 total invitations issued under IEC in 2025

Top invitation recipients in the final rounds:

  • Korea: 679 ITAs

  • France: 472 ITAs

  • Germany: 350 ITAs

  • Ireland: 232 ITAs

  • Italy: 229 ITAs

  • New Zealand: 109 ITAs
