IRCC has officially closed the 2025 International Experience Canada (IEC) season, marking the end of a year characterized by strong participation from young professionals and travelers seeking work and cultural experience in Canada. The IEC program continues to serve as a gateway to Canadian work experience, which can later support permanent residency through Express Entry or Provincial Nominee Programs.

Between October 10 and October 27, IRCC issued:
2,946 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for IEC open work permits
As of October 27:
40,086 candidates remained registered in the pools, awaiting invitations
This season included:
102,289 total invitations issued under IEC in 2025

Korea: 679 ITAs
France: 472 ITAs
Germany: 350 ITAs
Ireland: 232 ITAs
Italy: 229 ITAs
New Zealand: 109 ITAs
