THE GOVERNMENT OF CANADA INVITED A THOUSAND CEC CANDIDATES UNDER EXPRESS ENTRY

On August 7, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted Express Entry draw #359, targeting candidates under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). In this round, IRCC issued 1,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs), continuing its effort to invite individuals with proven work experience in Canada.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required was 534—an increase of 16 points compared to the previous CEC-targeted draw. This reflects a more competitive pool of candidates and underscores the importance of strategic profile optimization for those seeking permanent residency through this stream.

The tie-breaking rule was applied to candidates who submitted their profiles on or before August 3, 2025, at 06:22:02 UTC. As of August 5, 2025, the Express Entry pool held 256,585 profiles, highlighting ongoing high demand for Canadian permanent residency.

To date in 2025, Canada has conducted 29 Express Entry draws and issued a total of 50,628 invitations across various categories, including Federal Skilled Worker, Provincial Nominee, and CEC.
