2025 IEC SEASON CONCLUDES WITH FINAL APPLICATION DEADLINE SET FOR OCTOBER 20

The Final Call for Applicants

The Government of Canada has confirmed that the 2025 International Experience Canada (IEC) season will conclude with its final round of invitations during the week of October 20, 2025.
This marks the last opportunity for young professionals worldwide to apply for one of Canada’s most popular youth work and travel programs.

Application Deadline and Requirements

Candidates must submit their profiles by October 20 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time to be considered for the remaining pools.
Those who receive invitations or have already started their work permit applications will still be able to finalize and submit them after the closing date.

The IEC program offers three main categories:

• Working Holiday – flexible work and travel experience

• Young Professionals – employer-specific work permits for career development

• International Co-op – placements for students completing internships in Canada

What Comes After the 2025 Season

The closing of this season will allow IRCC to prepare for the 2026 IEC launch, expected early next year, with updated quotas and renewed bilateral agreements with participating countries.
This annual cycle ensures that Canada continues to be a top destination for young professionals seeking international experience and cultural exchange.
